Safety

At TRI Construction, safety is at the forefront of everything that we do. We are fully committed to the safety of our employees, customers, sub-contractors, and the public. The key to our successful safety program is the participation of all TRI Construction employees.

Each week our supervisors hold on-site safety meetings for the crews, and we have all of our project superintendents participate and become certified with the OSHA 30-hour training. Many of the safety courses are reinforced each year through refresher training.

TRI Construction, Is 100% OSHA-10 Certified

All of our employees, from the carpenters and cement finishers to heavy equipment operators, are required to participate in the OSHA 10-hour certification class, which emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. The topics covered in this course include general safety and health provisions, electrical, fall protection, personal protective and lifesaving equipment, and materials handling, which provides for storage, use, and disposal. Other relevant topics covered include hand and power tools, as well as scaffolds, cranes, excavations, ladders, and other essential equipment.

TRI Construction employees undergo additional training, which targets our specialty services, including the seasonal Snow & Ice Management. Aside from our General Construction Safety Program, we also dedicate extra time and effort into providing training that can help our team cope with the harsh elements, conditions, and timeframes that we face each year in the Northeast. We have established and implemented a broad range of safety training and company awareness through employee safety handbooks and refresher training on a wide variety of essential topics. Safety and safety education is a real priority at TRI Construction.
